The 2023 Census of Aquaculture expands on the data collected about aquaculture in the 2022 Census of Agriculture and provides a comprehensive picture of the aquaculture sector at the state and national levels. This information is currently being collected and will be released Dec. 16, 2024.
The Census of Aquaculture collects detailed information relating to production volume and methods, surface water acres and sources, sales, point of first sale outlets, and aquaculture distributed for restoration, conservation, enhancement, or recreational purposes. 2023 Census of Aquaculture key dates:- December 18, 2023 – Questionnaire mailing.
- January 15, 2024 – Deadline for completing your survey.
- December 16, 2024 – Data Release.
