Save the date for the 2021 Aquatic Plant Management Workshop!

March 9–11, 2021

NC State Extension Aquatic Plant Management program will again be hosting a workshop with a focus on the management of small ponds and impoundments. The workshop will have a series of talks with topics including basic biology and management techniques for plants, algae, and mosquitoes. Lectures will take place virtually via Zoom from 8:45 a.m. to 12:15 p.m. on each of the three days.

Topics to be covered in the workshop include: Biology and Ecology of Aquatic Plants and Harmful Algal Blooms; Pesticide Labels and Compliance; Noxious Weed Regulations; Chemical, Mechanical, and Biological Control Techniques; Mosquito Biology and Control.
