The 2020 North Carolina Aquaculture Development Conference was successfully held this year March 12-14, 2020, through a hybrid virtual/physical conference due to COVID-19. Thankfully, no illnesses have been reported from the event. Attendees were still able to tour research and industry sites, and interact with current and prospective fish farmers, scientists, regulatory personnel and the general public to share information and ideas about the development of aquaculture in North Carolina.

While the conference this year may not have gone quite as expected, next year’s conference planning is already underway. Make sure to mark your calendars for the next NCADC, scheduled for March 18-20, 2021. More details to come.
